Requirements for HDC application (Updated on 13 November 2022)

I. Testing Requirements

1. Passengers traveling from United States To China by direct flights are required totake one COVID-19 PCR test within 48 hours before boarding.

2. Travelers bound for China can choose to transfer via other countries. Passengers canchoose to undergo the PCR test either in the country of origin or in the country of transfer.

II. Application Method

1. Foreign passengers can apply for HDC code at https://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/ 

2. Please fill in the information and upload the following documents:

1 Photo of passport

2 Chinese Visa or Residence permit

3 Negative PCR test report

4 Flight itinerary

Upon approval, you will receive a green health declaration code with the “HDC” mark.

3. Testing Institutions

The Embassy/ Consulate of China in United States no longer designate specific testingproviders. PCR test certificates issued by legally operating testing institutions (hospitals orlaboratories) are accepted. The test report should contain your name, birthday, testing dateand time, result, a hospital/clinic stamp or doctor's signature, telephone number or e-mailaddress of the institution etc.

4. Please read the requirements carefully and follow them accordingly. Passengers will notbe able to board their flight without an HDC. The HDC can only be used for boarding flightsto China, not as a permit to enter China.
